विटमिन डी हड्डियों के लिए बेहद जरूरी है। इसकी कमी से कई प्रॉब्लम्स हो जाती हैं। एक सर्वे के मुताबिक, हर पांच महिलाओं में से एक में विटमिन-डी की कमी पाई जाती है। सूर्य की रोशनी विटामिन डी का सोर्स है, जो इम्यून सिस्टम को स्ट्रॉन्ग करता है।

क्या है विटमिन डी?
विटमिन-डी एक खास स्टेरॉयड विटामिन है, जो आंतों से कैल्शियम को सोखकर हड्डियों में पहुंचाता है। शरीर में इसका निर्माण हाइड्रॉक्सी कोलेस्ट्रॉल और अल्ट्रावॉयलेट किरणों की मदद से होता है। इसके अलावा, शरीर में कोलिकल कैसिरॉल पाया जाता है, जो खाने के साथ मिलकर विटमिन-डी बनाता है। विटमिन-डी पांच प्रकार का होता है- विटमिन-डी1, विटमिन-डी2, विटमिन-डी3, विटमिन-डी4 और विटमिन-डी5। इनमें विटमिन-डी2 और डी-3 बेहद जरूरी हैं।

कमी से होती हैं बीमारियां

अगर आप रोज 15 मिनट धूप में नहीं बैठते, तो विटमिन डी की कमी हो सकती है। पिछली रिसर्च बताती हैं कि विटमिन-डी की कमी से ऑस्टियोपोरोसिस, हार्ट प्रॉब्लम्स, कैंसर, मल्टीपल स्केलरोसिस, मेमरी लॉस, हाई ब्लडप्रेशर, बोन पेन, कमजोरी और इंफेक्शन जैसी कई प्रॉब्लम्स हो जाती हैं।

सर्दियों में होती है ज्यादा जरूरत’

डॉ. कहते हैं कि विटामिन डी की जरूरत हमें साल भर होती है लेकिन सर्दियो में जब तपमान कम हो जाता है, तब इसकी जरूरत बढ़ जाती है।
